The 8th edition of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Heart Association (AHA), offers an updated approach to training healthcare professionals who assist in neonatal resuscitation. This edition introduces a more interactive, simulation-based learning methodology designed to better equip clinicians with the evidence-based skills needed for newborn care immediately after birth. The course is structured into two parts: NRP Essentials and NRP Advanced, each tailored to meet the needs of professionals based on their level of involvement in neonatal care. The program focuses on improving the quality of resuscitation training through enhanced, practical engagement. This revised version aims to foster a deeper understanding of neonatal resuscitation techniques while ensuring that healthcare providers remain current with the latest best practices.
